I bought this bit to drill some 1-3/4" holes in 3/16" mild steel. The last time we needed 1-3/4" holes, I sent the job out to a fabricator who had a mag drill for the job. It cost me about $75.00 to have 4 holes drilled. Now I can do these large-size holes myself and I save $75.00 each time. The bit works great, even with a cordless drill. Just keep it cool with cutting fluid.

Champion CT5-1-5/8 Review by B. Stenman

The Champion hole cutters are being made in Japan so they are Japanese in origin as well as at the "Japanese" quality level - which is considered the bottom tier for TCT hole cutters. Designed for light duty use in metal it is a big step up from a bi-metal hole saw though that is true for almost any hole cutter.

Cuts stainless steel sheet relatively well though important always with stainless to use an extremely low RPM, otherwise the stainless steel will temper and become harder as you try to cut it. By extremely low I mean 200 RPM at most and 100 RPM is better.

This particular hole cutter is meant for cutting sheet steel that is 3/16 inch or about 5mm thick. The pilot bit is removable but the diameter is not a common one nor is the length for pilot bits readily available in the USA so a good idea to exercise caution and not take a chance of breaking it.

Most TCT hole cutters like this come in a plastic storage case that includes a hex wrench for the set screw used to secure the pilot bit. Not so with the Champion hole cutters which come in a blister pack so you need to find a box to store the hole cutter and hex wrench when it is not in use.

The Champion tungsten carbide hole cutters are much faster than a bi-metal hole saw and the tips are really teeth attached to the side of the hole cutter. Cuts even stainless steel without much difficulty so long as I keep the RPMs very very low. Cutting oil also helps with speed of cutting in stainless. Pilot bit is 6mm so if it breaks you will never find another one at your local hardware store.

We started to use the new Metal Pro tungsten carbide hole cutters from Blue Boar. They cut the same and cost a lot less. Best part is that they use a 1/4 inch pilot bit so spares are easy to find if we break one on the job.

I purchased this for my granddaughter, and am very satisfied. She loves wearing this shoe. It's beautiful and stylish and colour matches most clothes, but more importantly, it is very comfortable - the lining is soft and durable; the shoe true to size and well fitting; the sole is flexible and sturdy and has a good grip; the shoe provides good support for her ankles, as she develops her walking skills (she is 1 year 2 months old), and the toe-cap should ensure a good looking finish until she outgrows it, unlike other pairs of shoes which have quickly become very scruffy, without that type of protection in the toe area.

I was excited to get this shoe for my 20 month old. When we received them the toe colors were different shades and it looked mismatched. I love pediped shoes but I was disappointed in what I received. Also my little girl kept complaining that it hurt her foot. Not sure why that was but she didn't even want me to put them on her feet when I tried to put them on her a few different times. I would have just exchanged them had she not complained about them. Too bad because I was excited about them.

I bought these headphones hoping for a more comfortable headphone that was also waterproof. At first these seemed to fit the bill perfectly, I found them to be comfortable and waterproof. However after about a month the sound quality started to fade. After two months the right ear bud started to short out and now a week later both are dead! It's super depressing but I will not wast my time with this companies headphones again. Really wish I had paid closer attention to the reviews before I tried them :/

I like to swim laps and listening to music makes it a whole lot more enjoyable. Unfortunately, when it comes to waterproof headphones, I've yet to find a pair that sounds good and lasts.

I've had 3 pairs of these headphones. After using the first for about two months of swimming laps the right ear bud just died. No sound at all. Whatever, maybe I just had a defective pair. So I return them to Amazon and get a replacement set. After about the same amount usage the exact same thing happens in the right ear bud. Nothing happened to them, it just shorted out while I was swimming laps never to come back again. As far as waterproof headphones go, these were very comfortable and had pretty good quality for the short time that they worked.

I have a third pair of these now that I think are on the verge of dying. Same problem, right ear bud. I'm hoping that some company comes out with a good pair of waterproof headphones soon because I love swimming but I'm sick of these things crapping out on me.

I purchased the camera for my girlfriend back in December 2004. I liked the idea that it had 5x zoom and assumed the shutter lag problems of the previous models would be resolved. The shutter lag remained a problem but worse was the battery life and the most disappointing is my experience with customer service. The camera would just die on us after just a few pictures and less than an hour after charging overnight this would cause the lens to stall in a half closed position allowing sand to enter the lens. We sent it for service who said there was sand in the lens but claimed they repaired the problem. When we received the camera back the problem persisted. I tried buying another battery but neither stayed charged and the lens continued to get stuck half closed. We sent it back to Pentax and this time they said sand was causing the problem again (it was never exposed to sand since its return from Pentax). Pentax wanted to charge a couple hundred $ to fix it and when we refused to pay for the repair they returned the camera in pieces. I once again called and complained and am yet to hear back from Pentax. I will never buy another Pentax camera again after being subjected to this customer service.

The new Optio SV differentiates itself from other slim-profile digital cameras by offering a whopping 5x optical zoom! This is just amazing achievement on the part of Pentax, being able to outgun all competition in this important area. The SV is comparable in width and height to the popular Canon SD300 and SD400 models, but is about 1/3 thicker. It takes good-quality pictures. Not quite as great as the Canon models or even the Casio EX-Z55/Z57, but still very acceptable both for screen display and for print.

But the SV suffers from two problems that may limit its appeal. Let me first say that these are not "fatal" problems. For *your* needs, you may find the pros of this super-zoom camera more than offset the two problems, so by all means if this fits your needs, go for it. I really, really like the 5x zoom, period.

The two problems are:

1) Shutter lag. All digital cameras have shutter lag (the time between you press the shutter button and when the picture is actually taken), but this one is a bit longer than its competition. It also takes longer time than many competitors (Canon, Casio, Nikon, Sony) to write an exposed image to memory. This results in a shot-to-shot time that was normal two years ago but is considered on the long side this day and age.

2) Battery life. This is where I've got a serious beef, as the rechargeable battery packs enough power for only 80 or so pictures. The Canon SD300, in comparison, can do about 200 pictures per charge and the Casio EX-Z55/57 can do 350 or more. With the Pentax Optio SV, you have to either buy 2 spare batteries or pack the charger with you wherever you go.

If Pentax could improve battery life and shutter lag, this would be the ultracompact digicam of my choice.

This is a metal frame with fabric draped over it and tightened. The stitching is not perfect, it is actually pretty flawed, but it will work (unless you pull a string, then the seam splits). The sizing listed online is for the base, but these boxes are actually trapezoids that are wider at the top than bottom so if your measurement is close - beware it may not fit. There is a piece of cardboard covered in fabric in the bottom - don't get it wet! Spot treat with water and hand soap to clean other areas.
